Resolving uniform DIF

Items carrying non-uniform DIF are usually deleted from a test. Items with uniform DIF (e.g. related to gender) might be split into as many "virtual items" as there are person factor levels (male and female). Is there a split procedure for resolving uniform DIF in ConQuest? If not, would you recommend copying the item and removing data for one person factor level for each item (one item with missing data for males and the other with missing data for females) and rerun the location estimation for all perons and items?

Hi Nanco

You need to change the data file. That is, recode responses to not administered for one group in one version of the item and for the other group in the other version of the item.
