EAP/PV
« on: September 28, 2015, 10:20:01 AM »
Hi
I am analyzing a three-dimensional model. The MLE and WLE values are above 0.8 for all three dimensions, but EAP/PV is 0.000 for all of them. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me why this happens.

Regards, Hanne

Hi Hanne

WLEs and MLEs are affected by floor and ceiling effects, just like raw scores. One values is estimated for each raw score. Plausible values are continuous and in theory not affected by ceiling or floor effects.

The average difficulty of the items is fixed to zero by default. If all abilities are larger than zero, then your test was probably too easy. Could that be right?

Best wishes

Thank you for responding so quickly. I am sorry that I was unclear in formulating my question. What I meant to ask about was the EAP/PV reliability, why this values become 0.000 even when  MLE and WLE Person separation reliability are above 0.8?
Kind regards, Hanne

ConQuest draws plausible values for all respondents, even the ones without any responses. Do you have many of them? Best to delete those cases.

WLEs and MLEs are only estimated for respondents with at least some responses.

There are a few cases that have single missing values, but I dont have any cases with no responses. Might there be another reason?
