WLE Person separation reliability
« on: June 09, 2018, 02:49:37 PM »
Hello, i have run a dichotomously scored multiple choice test (see syntax below) and would like to obtain the WLE person reliability. Conquest (version 4.14.2) provides EAP/PV reliability in the shw.output file, but says WLE person reliability is "not available". What can i do?

datafile Wissen.dat;
format responses 1-34;
codes 1,2,3,4;
key 2423224213134434112422431111344411 !1;
model item;
estimate;
show !estimates=latent>> Wissen.shw;
show cases !pfit=yes, estimate=wle >> Wissen.wle;
itanal >> Wissen.itn;

Greetings, agrado.

ConQuest does estimation “just in time” - when you call “show” for the first time, you haven’t estimated WLEs yet to calculate PSR. On the next line, you estimate WLEs (show cases...).

If you swap those two lines around you will get both PSR and PV reliability.

Alternatively, you can edit your call to estimate:

Code: [Select]
estimate ! abilities = yes;
This will ensure WLEs, MLEs, and PVs are all available after estimation.
